The results of the feasibility completed at EPFL confirm that the annealing of a thin layer of germanium on silicon makes it possible to obtain an optimal crystalline quality with a flash lamp, by means of the repetition of short pulses, without the diffusion of heat being sufficient to damage the electronic circuits of the detector. This achievement justifies the continuation of our development efforts through other feasibility studies with the support of the Microtech Booster as well as a new project submission to Innosuisse by the end of Q2 2023.
